WHAT'S POP N AT THE HARLEM THEATRE?

614 N. GILMOR STREET, BALTIMORE, MD 21217

DOORS OPEN BALTIMORE

OCTOBER 7, 2023

9:00 A.M. - 7:00 P.M.

The Harlem is not open to the public yet. However, we are available for tours, fundraisers, and community engagement events. Therefore, we are honored to have been selected for Doors Open Baltimore. Launched in 2014, Doors Open Baltimore is a free citywide festival of architecture and neighborhoods hosted by the Baltimore Architecture Foundation. Doors Open Baltimore celebrates Baltimore’s architecture and communities and encourages residents and visitors to explore neighborhoods they may not otherwise visit, engaging with cultural sites to build new audiences and changing perceptions of Baltimore for the better. It is an annual celebration of civic pride and a way for buildings, which normally recede into the background of our everyday lives, to take center stage, but for us, it is about more than showing off our historic theatre. During the event, we celebrate our culture, share our stories, and host an artist showcase to introduce our talented community!

We need volunteers to assist with tours, greeting visitors, coordinating performances, and handing out information about the theatre. Also, if you’re a performing artist or visual artist of any medium and want to grace the Harlem Theatre with your gift, we need volunteers for that, too! All volunteers will receive a “pay it forward pass” that can be used to receive a discount on the Harlem’s rental spaces or future events.

Please RSVP below. If you want to volunteer, briefly state your interest, and a Harlem Theatre representative will contact you.
